ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Nikki.
I trained as a musical theatre performer at London Studio Centre, graduating in 2000. After several years working as a performer, I made my way into vocational performing arts training, teaching Singing at many London conservatoires including Arts Ed London, Mountview, Urdang, LAMDA, Italia Conti and London Studio Centre.
I am currently Head of Musical Theatre at London Studio Centre. I spent three years as Head of Musical Theatre at BodyWork Company Dance Studios in Cambridge, and four as Head of Musical Theatre at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona, before becoming Course Leader at Italia Conti Academy, and then returning to my Alma Mater to create the role of Head of MT.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance (specialising in Musical Theatre), a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCLTHE) in Theatre and Performing Arts, and an MSc with Distinction in Creative Arts and Mental Health at Queen Mary University of London. I also studied Musical Direction on the postgraduate programme at the world-renowned Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Having been on the audition panel for many drama schools and professional musical theatre productions, and worked alongside countless industry professionals over more than twenty years, I am an expert in what is required to succeed in auditions.
